The Claxton Story. It's All About Family.

The legacy of Claxton Bakery began in 1910, founded by Italian immigrant Savino Tos in the heart of Southeast Georgia. What started as a local bakeshop took a historic turn in 1927, when an 11-year-old named Albert Parker walked through the bakery's white-washed doors and asked the owner for a job. By 1945, Parker had purchased the bakery, shifting the company's focus toward perfecting their signature old-fashioned fruitcake.

Today, the Claxton Bakery has grown into a modern facility spanning an entire city block, earning Claxton the title, "Fruitcake Capital of the World." Operated by the Parker family, our world famous cakes — distinguished by the iconic "horse and carriage" label — remain the gold standard for quality and tradition across North America.
